I’ve just released Tomboy version 0.2.2, because 0.2.0 contained a bootstrapping bug wherein the first time you ran Tomboy it’d crash.
This is the horrible because the amount of people who will try something brand new is small enough. But when those people have problems on their first run, only a tiny fraction of them will ever try again. Instead, a much larger fraction will forever hold your work in distrust. And it’s doubly bad when you’re dealing in a domain where trust is Job 1, like keeping track of people’s ideas.

That is true, but I do believe the 0.x.x-audience is quite forgiving. It’s a development-version and we all know it. I for one, came back for more
